Another Valuable Initiative by China Window.Inaugurated by Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati and Chinese Cultural Consul
The Chinese cultural center China Window organized a grand and dignified ceremony at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. The event was attended by Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati as the chief guest, while Chinese Cultural Consul Chen Peng participated as a special guest. Among those present were Provincial Minister for Energy Nazir Abbasi, former Provincial Minister Akbar Ayub, Members of the Provincial Assembly Anwar Khan, Asif Mehsud, Ikramullah Ghazi, Faiza Malik, Sonia Shah, Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Syed Waqar Shah, former Inspectors General of Police Malik Naveed Khan and Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, diplomats, journalists, officers from the Assembly’s Public Relations and Protocol Departments, and a large number of people from various walks of life.

Speaking on the occasion, Amjad Aziz Malik, Administrator of China Window, said that the event was a humble effort to express the enduring sentiments of Pakistan-China friendship through the universal language of music and culture. He said that China Window was proud to launch a song dedicated to Pakistan-China friendship that holds a unique and historic significance in many respects.
He explained that the song is primarily a Pashto composition and conveys the message that friendship transcends borders, geography, and languages. Although the song is presented in the style of romantic poetry, its deeper meaning reflects the longstanding and cherished relationship between Pakistan and China.
Addressing the ceremony, Chen Peng highlighted the deep friendship and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China, describing it as a shining example of mutual trust and shared prosperity. He stated that the Pakistan-China friendship is everlasting and serves as a model for the world. He emphasized that the relationship between the two countries has been built on mutual trust, respect, and sincerity over the past 75 years.

He noted that both nations have stood by each other during every challenge and trial, further strengthening their friendship. Mr. Chen Peng reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening its iron-clad brotherhood with Pakistan and enhancing cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science, education, and culture. He described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a landmark project of practical cooperation that has played a significant role in Pakistan’s development. He also highly praised the management of China Window for producing and releasing the Pashto song celebrating Pakistan-China friendship.
In his address, Speaker Babar Saleem Swati stated that Pakistan-China friendship has successfully stood the test of time for the past 75 years and continues to grow stronger. He described the relationship as a remarkable example of sincerity, trust, mutual respect, and strategic cooperation.
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) represents the shared vision of development between the two countries and that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa occupies a key position in this initiative. He further remarked that both countries share a common vision for regional peace, connectivity, and stability.
Highlighting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, the Speaker referred to his recent visit to Kashgar and Urumqi, where extensive discussions were held on promoting trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges. He also mentioned progress in establishing sister-city relationships between Peshawar and Urumqi, as well as between Abbottabad and Kashgar.
The Speaker appreciated the cultural initiatives of China Window, stating that music, literature, and the arts are playing an important role in fostering harmony and understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and China. He also paid tribute to renowned poet Professor Dr. Abaseen Yousafzai and singers Dr. Irfan Khalil and Yamsa Noor for their valuable contributions to the project.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, commemorative souvenirs were presented to the distinguished guests, and a cake-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to further strengthening people-to-people contacts, cultural exchanges, and strategic cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
