PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, on Saturday, conferred Pakistan’s civil awards on 59 citizens on Pakistan Day in recognition of their excellence and gallantry in their respective fields. The Governor distributed the civil awards in different categories. A large number of provincial ministers, senior civil and government officials, and people from different walks of life participated in the grand ceremony held at Governor House Peshawar.
Administrator of China Window a state of the art Chinese cultural center in Peshawar who is also AIPS Executive Committee member and Secretary General of AIPS ASIA, awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan bestowed the distinguished Presidential award Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) upon Amjad Aziz Malik, in recognition of his remarkable and steadfast dedication to serving the nation.
After receiving the award, Pakistan’s proud sports journalist and organizer, Amjad Aziz Malik, said that the recognition of his services for more than forty years by the government of Pakistan is worthy of praise for him. He has rendered remarkable services to the country and the nation, and he is happy that the government of Pakistan has awarded him the Medal of Distinction. Amjad Aziz Malik further said that he will continue to serve to promote the soft image of Pakistan in the future.
A leader in his field, Amjad Aziz Malik, hailing from Peshawar, has achieved the distinct honor of being the first sports journalist in rich 76-year history of Pakistan to receive a nomination from the federal government for this esteemed Presidential accolade.

He worked for Akhbar-e-Watan, daily Jiddat, daily Jang, daily Pakistan, daily Express, Pakistan Television, Geo News, and daily Kasoti.
