Chinese Language Opens Doors to Jobs: SACP for Prisons Humayun Khan

Peshawar: April 22, 2025: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Prisons, Humayun Khan, emphasized the growing importance of language skills in today’s competitive job market, especially at a time when government job opportunities are shrinking. He noted that learning Chinese can significantly enhance the career prospects of Pakistani youth, providing them with numerous employment opportunities in the near future.

He expressed these views while addressing a certificate distribution ceremony organized by the Chinese cultural center China Window in Peshawar for students who completed the free Chinese language course.

Humayun Khan hailed China as a long-standing friend of Pakistan, genuinely invested in the country’s economic progress and poverty alleviation. He highlighted the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and expressed confidence that the project’s second phase will see the establishment of more industries, boosting exports and creating jobs.

He further stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to supporting the business community and is utilizing all available resources to facilitate economic development.

Dispelling rumors regarding the minerals bill, Humayun Khan assured that it would soon be passed unanimously by the provincial assembly, addressing all concerns of both government and opposition members.

He lauded China Window as a significant symbol of Pak-China friendship in Peshawar and expressed hope that the center would continue to play a vital role in strengthening bilateral ties. Earlier, he toured the galleries of China Window, signed the Friendship Wall, penned his remarks in the guestbook, and distributed certificates among students who completed the Chinese language course.
