Prestigious Ceremony Held in Honor of Sitara-i-Imtiaz Recipient Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Pride of Performance Awardee Jamshed Ali Khan
Peshawar: A dignified ceremony was held at China Window in honor of recipients of the Presidential awards Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Jamshed Ali Khan for their outstanding services to the country and nation. The event was attended by people from various walks of life, including social figures, intellectuals, journalists, writers, and government representatives. The purpose of the ceremony was to pay tribute to the national services of the recipients of civil awards.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bakhtiar Khan paid rich tribute to Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Jamshed Ali Khan, stating that civil awards are a recognition of the tireless efforts, talent, and patriotism of those personalities who have excelled in their respective fields and brought honor to the country. He said such individuals serve as guiding lights for the younger generation and their contributions will always be remembered.

Senior Vice President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Nadeem, congratulated Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Jamshed Ali Khan on behalf of the business community. He said that both personalities have rendered services spanning four to five decades, and the recognition by the Government of Pakistan is a matter of great pride for the people of Peshawar. He also appreciated the management of China Window for organizing the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, prominent lawyer Muhammad Habib Qureshi, former Member Provincial Assembly Dr. Zakir Shah, noted social worker Khawaja Akbar Sethi, Abaseen Column Writers Association representative Waseem Shahid, and China Window Administrator Amjad Aziz Malik said that the services of Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Jamshed Ali Khan are unforgettable. The speakers remarked that the nation values its benefactors and talented individuals, and their achievements are a source of pride for the entire province and country. Participants congratulated the award recipients and expressed hope that they would continue serving the nation with their abilities and experience in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sitara-i-Imtiaz recipient Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi said that he has served his city for more than fifty years and has performed remarkable services in different fields of life. He expressed happiness that the Government of Pakistan had acknowledged his contributions. He added that he would continue serving with the same dedication in the future.
Presidential award recipient, anchor, and director Jamshed Ali Khan said that he has worked for a long time in radio, stage, and television, and he was pleased that the Government of Pakistan had appreciated his services. He said awards are not only recognition of services but also create a new spirit and motivation in a person. He pledged to continue serving his city, province, and country in an even better way.
Earlier, chief guest Dr. Bakhtiar Khan presented bouquets and traditional shawls to Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Jamshed Ali Khan. Host Imtiaz Ahmad adorned them with traditional caps, while the Senior Vice President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented shields to both distinguished personalities.
