Pak Embassy in Beijing Commemorates Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir with Resolute Call for Justice

Beijing – August 5, 2025: The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing today observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir (Day of Exploitation) with a solemn and dignified ceremony, underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the just cause of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and their inalienable right to self-determination. The event began with the reading of special messages from the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, all of whom strongly condemned India’s illegal and unilateral actions aimed at altering the demographic and political landscape of IIOJK. The messages reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast political, moral, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people and reiterated the country’s consistent stance against India’s continued oppression and occupation.

Mr. Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy, delivered a powerful address in which he strongly denounced India’s hegemonic policies and persistent violations of international law. He emphasized India’s blatant disregard for United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and its ongoing impunity in perpetrating systematic oppression and human rights abuses in IIOJK. He also paid tribute to the resilience of the Kashmiri people in the face of decades-long tyranny.

As part of the ceremony, a video documentary was screened, vividly portraying the illegal and unilateral steps taken by India, particularly since August 5, 2019, which marked the abrogation of Article 370 and the subsequent clampdown on civil liberties. The documentary highlighted widespread human rights violations, communication blackouts, and attempts at demographic changes designed to suppress the Kashmiri identity.

To complement the visual narrative, a photo exhibition was also organized at the Embassy, showcasing powerful images that captured the plight and ongoing sufferings of the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation. The exhibition served as a poignant reminder of the international community’s responsibility to uphold justice and human dignity.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for the international community, especially the United Nations and global human rights organizations, to take urgent and meaningful action to end the ongoing atrocities in IIOJK and to ensure the Kashmiri people are granted their long-denied right to self-determination in accordance with UNSC resolutions.
