Peshawar, May 02, 2026: Malaysia’s High Commissioner Highlights Strong Pakistan–Malaysia Relations During Visit to China Window Peshawar
The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, His Excellency Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, has stated that Pakistan and Malaysia share deep-rooted friendly relations and both countries are making significant efforts toward economic development. He expressed these views during his visit to the Chinese cultural center, China Window, in Peshawar During the visit, the High Commissioner toured various galleries at China Window, signed the Friendship Wall, and recorded his impressions in the guest book. Speaking to the media on the occasion, he remarked that Pakistan is playing a very important role in the current international scenario, which has been widely appreciated across the world.

Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan said at this time, the eyes of the world are focused on Pakistan, and I am confident that Pakistan is playing a significant role in easing tensions. He added that Peshawar is a peaceful city, and he was very pleased to visit here. He emphasized that Pakistan and Malaysia are close partners, connected through shared values, mutual respect, and strong people-to-people ties. He further noted that bilateral relations between the two countries are steadily expanding across multiple sectors, including trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
Highlighting economic cooperation, the High Commissioner pointed out the vast opportunities available in sectors such as the halal industry, agriculture, and green energy. He reaffirmed that both countries are committed to enhancing trade volume and expanding investment opportunities. He also underlined the importance of educational and media collaboration, stressing the need to strengthen institutional linkages to promote greater mutual understanding. He appreciated the role of media in fostering positive relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
Referring to the historical and cultural connections between the two nations, he stated that Pakistan and Malaysia share similar perspectives on key regional and global issues, and their diplomatic relations continue to grow stronger over time. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan described the Chinese cultural center, China Window, as a remarkable and unique symbol of Pak-China friendship in Peshawar. He expressed confidence that countries in the region will continue their efforts to promote peace and stability.
