Chief Executive Officer of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), Akhtar Hameed Khan, praised China Window, the cultural center of Pakistan-China friendship in Peshawar, for its pivotal role in fostering ties between the two nations. He described the center’s contributions as commendable during his visit to China Window. Accompanying him was Director of Public Relations, Usman Salim.
Akhtar Hameed Khan toured the various galleries at China Window and expressed keen interest in the exhibits. He also left his mark on the Friendship Wall by signing it.
Speaking on the occasion, the PESCO chief emphasized that every Pakistani is aware of the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, crediting China’s unwavering support during challenging times as the foundation of these strong relations. He highlighted the importance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit currently being held in Islamabad, where the Chinese Prime Minister is participating. Both countries have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and boosting Pakistan’s economic development.
Khan also underscored the significance of Chinese investments in Pakistan’s energy sector, noting that such collaboration is crucial in overcoming the country’s energy crisis.
In conclusion, the PESCO chief commended the organizers of China Window for creating a remarkable center, expressing confidence that the message of friendship, peace, and brotherhood would continue to reach the people China from Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through this initiative.
