Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University, has said that while the Chinese people are celebrating all over the world National Day, the people of Pakistan, especially Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are also part of the celebrations .She expressed these views while addressing a function on the occasion of the 72nd National Day of China at China Window, a Chinese cultural center in Peshawar.
She also cut the cake. Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana said that China has made great strides in the economic field in the seven decades since the beginning of reforms. The role that China is playing for peace in the region is also commendable. She said that under the leadership of the Communist Party, the 72-year development achievements of the People’s Republic of China have received worldwide attention, especially the fulfillment of the first 100-year goal of a comprehensive, moderate and prosperous society and a modern socialist country.She added that reform and openness are the main driving force for China’s basic national policy and future development.
Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana said that Pak-China friendship has also become stronger with each passing moment and there is no doubt that the friendship between the two countries is deeper than the seas and higher than the Himalayas. She expressed confidence that CPEC would contribute to the development and prosperity of the people of Pakistan and if peace prevails in Afghanistan in the days to come, Peshawar would act as a gateway to Central Asian countries. She commended the organization of the event on the occasion of China’s National Day and said that the move has sent a message of love and affection throughout China.
