PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry has said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than the Himalayas, sweeter than honey, and deeper than the oceans adding that this is not just a usage of words but an open reality repeated with feelings and emotions of every Pakistani.
He further said this bonding of this friendship is protected by a mutual relationship based on seven decades which brought the people of the two countries closer to each other making the mutual friendship more stronger and deeper.
Nadeem Aslam expressed these views in the ceremony held in connection with the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China at China Window, a Chinese cultural and information center in Peshawar.
Addressing the gathering, he said that the brotherly neighboring country China has supported Pakistan through thick and thin and Pakistan also responded with the same zeal and fervour.
He further said that at present. Pakistan is facing a hard time, particularly on the economic front. However but the economic plan that China has started in the form of CPEC would definitely become an indicator and catalyst of economic development in Pakistan and would provide a stabilizing impetus to the economic sector in Pakistan.
The Chief Secretary further said that the government was making every possible effort to expedite the work on CPEC so that its fruits reach the people as soon as possible.
Not only foreign but also Pakistani investors from all over the world will be interested to invest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in the factories to be set up there will lead to export and would increase economic activities in the province along with providing employment to people, he added.
Pakistan, China longlasting friendship
Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry said that Pakistan and China are celebrating 72 years of diplomatic relations. During the time, the friendship between the governments and especially the people of the two sides has been a source of pride. “Today’s event is a proof of this. Such events will be held all over the country, but China Window did a marvelous job of organizing first-ever event in the Country”, he said.
Paying tribute to the organizers of the China Window, the Chief Secretary said that he was happy that China Window provided a wonderful opportunity to bring the people of the two countries closer and shared views and happiness. On behalf of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he congratulated the people of China on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of friendship and expressed hope that the people of Pakistan and China would continue to share in each other’s happiness in the future.
Earlier, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry visited various galleries of the Chinese Cultural Center China Window, signed the friendship wall, and recorded his comments in the guest book.
A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the ceremony. Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also cut the cake on the Pakistan-China friendships 72nd anniversary.
