Peshawar: July 22, 2026 (Shoaib Khan) : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from Bannu Adnan Khan, visited China Window, the Chinese cultural and information centre established in Peshawar. During the visit, he toured the centre’s various cultural, historical, educational and informational galleries and showed keen interest in the exhibitions highlighting Chinese history, culture, development and the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China.

The management of China Window briefed the distinguished guest about the establishment, objectives and ongoing activities of the centre aimed at strengthening people-to-people relations between Pakistan and China. He was informed that China Window is playing an active role in introducing Chinese culture, creating awareness about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, offering Chinese language courses to young people and promoting cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries. Speaking on the occasion, Adnan Khan said that Pakistan-China friendship was based on mutual trust, respect and shared interests, and had proved its strength during every difficult period. He said China had made valuable contributions to Pakistan’s economic development, infrastructure improvement and public welfare.

He added that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was an important project for the economic progress and prosperous future of both countries. Adnan Khan described China Window as a unique and effective symbol of Pakistan-China friendship in Peshawar. He said institutions of this nature played an important role in bringing the people of the two countries closer, promoting cultural understanding and educating the younger generation about the significance of bilateral relations. He appreciated the efforts of the China Window administration and said that positive initiatives promoting Pakistan-China friendship should be encouraged and supported at every level.
