The Prime Minister appreciated the ongoing progress on CPEC, the flagship project of President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road initiative, and its importance for Pakistan’s economic development and prosperity. He reiterated his government’s commitment to accelerate the implementation of high quality development projects of C-Pac and make it a symbol of China-Pakistan friendship and deep partnership. He stressed the importance of increasing investment by China in the fields of industry, agriculture and digital technology. Referring to his close cooperation with China as the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Prime Minister termed the everlasting strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and an element of regional peace and stability. He emphasized that friendship with China is in the hearts of Pakistan and the people of China and China is Pakistan’s strongest and closest partner. The Prime Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to further deepen the economic cooperative partnership between the two countries in the common interest.
