On September 1, 2023, Harbin Engineering University will celebrate its 70th anniversary. In 1953, the first higher military technology college in the history of new China (Harbin military college) was established in the care and expectation of the leaders and generals of the Republic. Chairman Mao Zedong issued a speech for the establishment of the college. In the past 70 years, it has won the title of “No. 1 in China” with achievements such as the duplex submersible and hovercraft.
HEU is billed as a top institution for engineering and marine projects. It is also included in the Double First-Class University Plan designed by the central government of China. It has cultivated more than 140,000 outstanding alumni, including academic elites, industry leaders and pillars of the country. With the theme of “seven ranks of brilliance and determination to be first-class”, the university will follow the principle of “pragmatism, frugality, solemnity and enthusiasm”. The staff members of China Window a Chinese cultural and information center in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has sent greetings to the Dean and Vice Dean of the University and hoped that Harbin Engineering University and China Window will continue mutual cooperation.
